OUR PHILOSOPHY
Building Capacity, Not Dependency
Urban Geo Analytics delivers training programmes that equip professionals, students, and organisations with practical skills in geospatial analysis, AI for visual and spatial applications, and decentralised data systems. Our workshops are built around real tools, real data, and real problems — not slide decks and abstract lectures. Participants leave with working code, configured environments, and the understanding to adapt what they’ve learned to their own projects.
Every programme is tailored. Technical depth is calibrated to the group’s background: a workshop for urban planners looks very different from one for data engineers, even when covering the same technology. Content is adapted to institutional or project goals — if your team needs to deploy a specific tool, we build the training around that tool. We work with universities, public institutions, planning agencies, NGOs, and private firms across Europe and internationally.
TRAINING TOPICS
What We Teach
Geospatial AI & Vision-Language Models
We teach what VLMs are, how they work, and — critically — how to design prompts that produce reliable, parseable output for applied image analysis tasks. Participants work hands-on with UVLM and SAGAI, progressing from model loading through prompt design to batch analysis and result interpretation in a single session. We also offer dedicated workshops on diffusion models for urban visualisation, covering text-guided editing with ComfyUI, building custom workflows, and deploying generative pipelines for architectural and urban design applications.
Geospatial Analysis & Urban Modelling
Our core geospatial training covers the Python ecosystem for spatial analysis: OSMnx for street network extraction, GeoPandas for vector operations, Folium for interactive mapping, and Google Earth Engine for satellite imagery processing. We teach network-based accessibility modelling using PPCA (from bounding box to population potential map), machine learning for spatial data (classification, clustering, and regression on morphometric, demographic, and land-use features), and end-to-end pipeline design from data acquisition through to web-based visualisation and report generation.
Blockchain, Web3 & Decentralised AI
For teams exploring decentralised infrastructure, we offer practical introductions to blockchain logic, smart contract development, and decentralised storage — grounded in geospatial use cases rather than abstract crypto concepts. Advanced modules cover deploying AI models on Akash and similar decentralised compute networks, from containerisation and SDL configuration to live inference endpoints. Participants build working prototypes during the session.
FORMATS
How We Deliver
We offer half-day workshops (focused, hands-on sessions on a single topic, ideal for conferences, seminars, and team introductions), multi-day intensives (deep-dive programmes covering an entire workflow from data to deployment, including exercises, datasets, and take-home materials), ongoing mentoring (regular sessions over weeks or months supporting a team through a specific project or capability-building initiative), and fully remote or on-site delivery anywhere in the world. All training materials — notebooks, datasets, configuration files, and documentation — are provided to participants for continued use after the programme.
